Automobile Engineering Technology is a field that specializes in various aspects of automobiles and power machinery, including design and calculation; manufacturing and assembly; operation and utilization; vehicle and technical management; repair and maintenance; and other technical services such as vehicle inspection, parts and vehicle trading, and improving the efficiency and performance of automobiles and power machinery.
This is an interdisciplinary program that integrates knowledge from mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic technology, automation technology, materials science, and information technology. As a result, graduates are well-equipped to work in a wide range of job positions across various sectors.

On July 14, 2014, the Prime Minister approved Decision No. 1168/QD-TTg on “Vietnam Automobile Industry Development Strategy to 2025 and Vision to 2035” and affirmed:
– The automobile industry is an important driving force for promoting industrialization and modernization, and needs to be encouraged to develop with stable, consistent and long-term policies.
– Developing the automobile industry on the basis of promoting the potential of enterprises of all economic sectors to gradually meet domestic demand and the country’s security and defense needs.
– By 2035: The automobile industry ensures overall socio-economic efficiency as well as environmental requirements and the trend of energy saving, meeting domestic demand and participating in the world automobile production and manufacturing chain, with large export value.
Thus, the role of the Automobile Engineering Technology industry is considered a key industry in training high-quality human resources for society, suitable and highly responsive to the industrialization and modernization cause that the Party and State are determined to carry out.
Admission Requirements
Thanh Do University evaluates applicants by four methods:
- Evaluation based on high school academic records
- Evaluation based on national high school graduation exam results
- Evaluation based on aptitude or competency assessments
- Direct admission per Ministry of Education and Training regulations
