To promote innovation in teaching and enhance learning and research effectiveness in higher education, the Institution for Research on Education and Knowledge Transfer (REK Institute), Thanh Do University, organized the scientific conference “The Microlearning Model: Empirical Evidence and Practical Implementation.”

The conference was conducted under a research project funded by NAFOSTED, “Examining the method of microlearning in Vietnam’s higher education: a comparative analysis among students with different learning styles”. It served as a valuable academic forum to examine the role and impact of microlearning in modern education, where flexible, personalized, and efficient learning approaches are increasingly essential.

Discussions focused on theoretical foundations, development trends, and practical applications of microlearning. Presentations provided empirical evidence on its impact on learning outcomes across different learner groups, while also sharing implementation experiences in both academic and corporate contexts—highlighting its broad applicability.

Dr. Pham Hung Hiep, Director of the REK Institute, opened the conference with a keynote on the evolution, implementation, and future potential of microlearning. Drawing on international research, he outlined global trends and identified key research directions for Vietnam.
