Thanh Do University organized a wide range of experiential activities to connect Unipdu Jombang University (Indonesia) lecturers and students with the Thadoer community within the international exchange series themed “Academic Connection &Cultural Exchange.”

The activities created a lively and creative space, enabling students from both universities to explore more deeply the culture, people, and distinctive traditions of Vietnam and Indonesia, while strengthening mutual understanding and friendship.

“Non la” Painting, a Symbol of Vietnamese Cultural 

The conical hat (Non la), a familiar symbol of Vietnamese culture, became a unique artistic experience for Indonesian students. Through painting, they freely expressed creativity using colors and patterns that conveyed personal messages and cultural meaning.

Many students chose to depict the lotus, Vietnam’s national flower, while others combined the Vietnamese and Indonesian flags to symbolize friendship. Traditional motifs, maps, and cultural icons of both countries were also creatively integrated, highlighting cultural harmony and exchange.

Sports - a Bridge of Friendship

Sports served as a “shared language” throughout the exchange journey. Activities such as Jumping Friendship, Yoga, and Teambuilding brought vibrant energy to the interaction between Thanh Do University and Unipdu Jombang.

Held at THADO Edupark, teambuilding games filled the campus with laughter and excitement. Each challenge required teamwork, coordination, and trust, creating meaningful moments of connection.

From dynamic group games to thrilling tug of war challenges, the activities helped students overcome cultural barriers, integrate more easily, and strengthen bonds. Team spirit and shared experiences became a foundation for lasting friendships and future academic collaboration.
