ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT – DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM SPECIFICALLY FOR LAO STUDENTS 2025

Thanh Do University ranks among the top ASEAN universities with an applied education orientation (ASEAN 2024: AppliedHE). The university meets National Education Quality Standards and has been awarded a Three-Star rating for applied-oriented training quality in the ASEAN University Ranking (UPM).
The university is now announcing admissions for the 2025 Distance Learning program specifically for Lao students, including both alumni and current students of Quang Tri College of Education, as follows:
1. Eligibility
Applicants must meet the requirements stipulated in the current Admission Regulations and the Regulations on the Management of Foreigners Studying in Vietnam issued by the Ministry of Education and Training (Circular No. 30/2018/TT-BGDĐT, dated December 24, 2018).
2. Admission Requirements
Academic Qualification: Completion of upper secondary education or an equivalent qualification.
Health Condition: Applicants must be physically fit for study (with a medical certificate issued by a competent health authority in Vietnam).
Language Proficiency: Applicants must achieve Vietnamese language proficiency at level B2 (level 4/6) or higher, in accordance with the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners (Circular No. 17/2015/TT-BGDĐT, dated September 1, 2015, by the Minister of Education and Training).
Age Requirement: No age limit.
3. Admission Method
Direct admission (application-based evaluation).
4. Application Period
- Application: September 15, 2025 – October 31, 2025
- Expected Admission Evaluation: November 3, 2025
- Expected Enrollment Date: November 8, 2025
5. Majors and Enrollment Quotas
- Major: Information Technology
- Enrollment Quotas: 15
6. Study Plan
Duration of Study
High school graduates: 4 years
Vocational/technical secondary school graduates: 2.5 – 3 years
College or higher graduates: 1.5 years
Distance learning via computer network and telecommunications
Degree: Equivalent to a regular bachelor’s degree
Final Exam Locations (students choose one):
Northern Region: Thanh Do University, Km 15, National Highway 32, Hoai Duc, Hanoi
Southern Region: 4A-6 Ngo Quyen, Tan Son Nhi, Ho Chi Minh City
7. Application Fee, Tuition, and Scholarships
Application Fee: VND 600,000
Scholarship Program: 15 full scholarships covering 100% of tuition for the entire course

8. Application Documents (required)
- Application form for foreign students studying in Vietnam (Thanh Do University template).
- Certified copy of passport (valid for at least 6 months).
- Certified copy of high school diploma (or provisional graduation certificate), or diploma of college/university.
- Certified copy of high school transcripts or transcripts of college/university.
- Certified copy of curriculum vitae with official confirmation (translated and notarized).
- Certified copy of the Vietnamese language proficiency certificate.
- Certified translated and notarized copy of birth certificate.
- Health certificate issued by a competent health authority in Vietnam (valid within 6 months).
Note: Diplomas and transcripts issued by foreign institutions must be recognized by the Department of Education and Training (for high school) or by the Quality Management Department, Ministry of Education and Training (for bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
