Nguyen Thanh Dat, an excellent student in Information Technology at Thanh Do University
The year 2025 marks the 23rd consecutive year Hanoi has celebrated outstanding valedictorians from universities and academies across the city. This tradition reflects Hanoi’s commitment to education and its recognition of students’ dedication, perseverance, and achievements.
During the ceremony, on behalf of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi, Secretary Nguyen Tien Hung congratulated 95 valedictorians, emphasizing that their success is the result of relentless effort, strong will, and ambition. The title of Outstanding Valedictorian is both an honor and the beginning of a new journey marked by intellect, responsibility, and devotion to the community and the nation.
The recognition program took place on November 13–14, including traditional activities such as a tribute ceremony at President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, a visit to the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, an exchange session with students at Chu Van An High School, and especially the Golden Book signing ceremony for outstanding valedictorians of 2025.

Assoc. Prof. Dao Thi Ai Thi, Vice President of Thanh Do University, and Dat’s family, attended the ceremony and extended congratulations for his accomplishments.
Dat shared, “I feel proud and grateful. Proud that my efforts have been recognized, and grateful for the support of my teachers, family, and friends. This is a great motivation for the road ahead.” He emphasized perseverance and self-study as key factors in his success: “Achievement comes from persistent effort. Set clear goals and work steadily toward them.” He encouraged fellow students to pursue what they love, embrace challenges, and believe in themselves.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman of Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Thu Ha highlighted Vietnam’s long-standing tradition of valuing talent and intellect. The 95 honorees represent the hopes of the capital and the country.
The outstanding valedictorians of 2025 are expected to contribute significantly to the development of Hanoi and Vietnam. They are role models for the younger generation—those who dare to learn, to grow, and to lead.
