Thanh Do University has achieved a 4-star QS Stars international rating and met the standards of National Education Quality Accreditation. To contribute to the internationalization of training programs and attract international students to full-time undergraduate programs, the University is implementing the Project "Attracting International Students to study and research at Thanh Do University in the 2026-2028 period".

The University hereby announces the admission guidelines for international students applying to full-time undergraduate programs for the 2026 academic year as follows:

1. Eligibility and Admission Requirements

1.1 Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be foreign nationals who have graduated from overseas high schools or vocational secondary schools with qualifications equivalent to the Vietnamese high school or vocational secondary diploma, and must meet the language proficiency standards set by Thanh Do University, specifically:
  • For programs taught in Vietnamese: Applicants must achieve a foreign language proficiency of Level 3 or higher under the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam (or equivalent) and possess a Vietnamese language proficiency certificate of Level 4 or higher under the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners (see Appendix I and Appendix II).
  • Applicants who do not meet the minimum Vietnamese language proficiency to enter the official programs taught in Vietnamese must enroll in a Vietnamese preparatory course, followed by a Vietnamese proficiency assessment. If successful, they will be admitted to the official program; if unsuccessful, they must continue to take supplementary courses and retake the assessment until the requirements are met before transferring to the official program.
  • For programs taught in English: Applicants must demonstrate a foreign language proficiency of Level 3 or higher under the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam (or equivalent). Applicants who are native English speakers or whose primary language of instruction in high school was English are exempt from the foreign language requirement.

1.2 Admission Criteria: Admission decisions will be based on the evaluation of high school academic transcripts or equivalent academic records.

4. Application Checklist

Each applicant must submit one (01) set of application documents in either Vietnamese or English, duly certified by competent authorities.

The application package includes:

a) Application Form for International Students studying in Vietnam (Download the form here).

b) High School Diploma or equivalent.

c) Academic Transcripts for Grades 10, 11, and 12, or equivalent.

d) A copy of a valid Passport (with at least 01 year of validity remaining at the time of application).

e) A Health Certificate issued by a competent medical institution within the last 06 months, confirming the applicant is fit for study.

f) A valid Police Clearance Certificate (or Criminal Record Certificate) issued by competent authorities.

g) A 4x6 cm portrait photo (taken within the last 06 months).

h) Proof of Vietnamese or English language proficiency, depending on the chosen program (if applicable).

Note: If the original documents are not issued in English or Vietnamese, applicants must submit scanned PDF files of the original documents alongside certified translations for verification.

5. Application Timeline and Procedure

5.1 Application Period: From August 25th, 2026, to September 30th, 2026

5.2 Submission, Result Notification, and Enrollment Procedure:

  • Applicants must submit a consolidated PDF file of the complete application package to the Admissions Office via email at: Admission@thanhdouni.edu.vn.
  • Email subject format: [Undergraduate Application 2026] Full Name – Nationality – Applied Major/Program.
  • Upon review and evaluation, the University will notify successful candidates of their admission status via email. The University will also assist admitted students with Visa application procedures and enrollment, which must be completed before October 30th, 2026.

On the day of official enrollment, students are required to bring their original documents (or notarized copies) and submit them directly to the Admissions Advisors.

6. Degrees Awarded: International students who complete the full-time undergraduate program within the standard 4-year duration will be awarded a Bachelor / Pharmacist / Engineer / Lawyer.

7. Scholarship Policies and Financial Aid

7.1 For non-agreement international students enrolling directly into full-time undergraduate programs:

  • A 50% tuition fee waiver for the entire standard course duration (up to 4 years). This scholarship does not cover fees for retake courses or grade-improvement courses.
  • A 100% accommodation fee waiver for high-quality dormitory rooms based on the actual duration of stay (up to 4 years). Utility bills (electricity and water) are not included.

7.2 For non-agreement international students enrolling in the Vietnamese Preparatory Course prior to the official undergraduate programs:

  • A 50% tuition fee waiver for the Vietnamese Preparatory Course (excluding the fee for the Vietnamese proficiency certification exam).
  • A 100% accommodation fee waiver for high-quality dormitory rooms (excluding utility bills).

Upon completion of the preparatory course and the Vietnamese proficiency assessment:

+ If the student achieves Level 4/6 under the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners and enrolls in a full-time undergraduate program at Thanh Do University, they will be granted the scholarships and financial aids outlined in Section 7.1.

+ If the student fails to achieve Level 4/6, they must self-fund any further supplementary courses and exam retakes until the requirement is met. Should the student choose not to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program at Thanh Do University afterwards, they must fully reimburse the University for the granted scholarship and financial aid.

7.3 Scholarship Selection Criteria: Scholarships are awarded based on a comprehensive assessment of admission results, scholarship quotas, selected majors/programs, nationality, language proficiency, and converted high school academic performance.
