Chinese Studies

The Chinese Language major provides students with in-depth and comprehensive knowledge and skills in using Chinese, as well as its practical applications across various fields such as economics, culture, and education. Students are guided from foundational to advanced levels to achieve fluency in Chinese, while also gaining insights into China’s geography, history, culture, society, politics, law, and international relations.

Career Prospects for Chinese Language Majors at TDD:

  • Interpreter, editor, or secretary in organizations that use foreign languages
  • Tour guide or consultant at travel agencies, tourism companies, hotels, and restaurants
  • Teacher at colleges, vocational schools, high schools, or language centers

Admissions requirements

Applicable subject combinations for admission evaluation:

Applicants may apply using one of the following subject combinations, as stipulated by current admission regulations:

  • A00: Math, Physics, Chemistry
  • D01: Math, Literature, English
  • D04: Math, Literature, Chinese
  • D09: Math, English, History
  • D14: Literature, History, English
  • D15: Literature, Geography, English

Thanh Do University evaluates applicants by four methods:

  • Evaluation based on high school academic records
  • Evaluation based on national high school graduation exam results
  • Evaluation based on aptitude or competency assessments
  • Direct admission per Ministry of Education and Training regulations

Application materials

Applicants should prepare:

  • 01 copy of the notarized high school diploma or provisional graduation certificate and transcripts
  • 01 copy of ID card, birth certificate, and any priority documents (if applicable)
  • Completed TDU application form.
