Comparative – Contrastive Linguistics conducts in-depth research into aspects of language by comparing and contrasting the similarities and differences of various languages to draw final conclusions and effective language learning methods in language use.

This course provides knowledge of methods and techniques for comparing languages, as well as knowledge of intercultural and cross-cultural perspectives between East and West; reinforces and enhances the necessary skills to conduct comparisons between different languages, to describe languages from a critical perspective, to synthesize aspects of language variations, and to evaluate English learning materials for language learners.
After completing the master’s program in Comparative – Contrastive Linguistics with an applied research orientation, students will have a solid academic background in language and Vietnamese upon graduation, possess proficient professional practice skills in teaching, translation and interpretation, comparison and contrast with other languages, and have the ability to work independently, creatively, and solve problems in their field of expertise.
