Beyond classrooms and laboratories, students of the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy at Thanh Do University gain direct workplace exposure through the Enterprise Semester, a key component of the University’s practice-oriented training model.

This semester, students engage in professional settings across the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, observing and participating in real-world workflows. This experience helps transform academic knowledge into practical skills while deepening understanding of professional standards and ethics in healthcare.

Pharmacy students undertake internships at drugstores, pharmaceutical manufacturers, distribution companies, or hospital pharmacy departments. They explore processes in drug management, storage, consultation, and usage, while gaining insight into pharmaceutical operations within the healthcare supply chain.

Nursing students gain hands-on experience in hospitals and care facilities, developing patient care skills, communication with the elderly, and teamwork in professional environments. These experiences strengthen their awareness of responsibilities and the critical role of nurses in the healthcare system.

Beyond technical training, the Enterprise Semester fosters professional conduct, communication, teamwork, and adaptability, which are key competencies that bridge the gap between education and labor market demands.
