On November 24, Thanh Do University held the Opening Ceremony of the “Vietnam -  Indonesia International Lecturers and Students Exchange Program” with the theme “Academic Connection - Cultural Exchange” officially welcoming lecturers and students from Unipdu Jombang University (Universitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum Jombang), Indonesia, to experience learning and cultural immersion at the Thado Edupark education ecosystem.

The program is part of a series of special activities celebrating the 21st Anniversary of Thanh Do University (30/11/2004 - 30/11/2025) and offers a diverse cultural and academic agenda. Lecturers and students from Unipdu Jombang University will explore Vietnamese culture and daily life through learning, interaction, and exchange activities within the Thado Edupark system.

International integration in education and training is one of the eight priority missions identified in Resolution 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in educational development (issued on August 22, 2025). Active international academic exchange demonstrates the increasing global engagement of Vietnamese higher education, accompanied by rising numbers of international experts working at Vietnamese universities. This contributes to training quality and provides learners with access to modern, internationally aligned academic approaches.

Advancing its internationalization vision, Thanh Do University continues to strengthen global partnerships and academic exchange programs with universities in the region and worldwide. These exchange initiatives expand training opportunities and provide Thadoer students with broader access to international learning environments and career development pathways.

During the Opening Ceremony, Thanh Do University lecturers and students wore traditional Vietnamese ao dai, while the Indonesian delegation showcased their vibrant cultural attire. The blend of two cultures created a meaningful and lively atmosphere for the event.

A highlight of the ceremony was the artistic exchange performance featuring Vietnamese traditional dance and Indonesian traditional music and martial arts, prepared by lecturers and students from both universities. Each performance became a cultural gift, symbolizing friendship, respect, and educational connection between the two nations.

Following the ceremony, Indonesian students toured the green and friendly campus of Thado Edupark. Before that, the delegation had checked into the dormitory and participated in sports exchange activities with Thanh Do University students.

With an open and enthusiastic spirit, Indonesian students quickly integrated into the vibrant life at Thanh Do University. Their upcoming journey includes:

• Visits to historical and cultural landmarks
• Academic workshops
• Community engagement activities
• Exploring Vietnamese culture through cuisine, language, and daily life

Thanh Do University believes the program will leave lasting impressions on the lecturers and students of Unipdu Jombang University, laying the foundation for sustained cooperation between the two institutions and contributing to the friendship between Vietnam and Indonesia.
