On December 30, 2025, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the world’s leading provider of services, analytics, and insight to the global higher education sector, has officially awarded Thanh Do University (TDU) a 4-Star QS Stars rating. The university distinguished itself by achieving a 5-Star rating - the highest possible score- in five out of seven core categories, including a perfect score in Good Governance and a near-total graduate employment rate.

Excellence Under Rigorous New Standards

Thanh Do University achieved an overall score of 705 out of 1,000, earning a "Very Good" classification. This assessment was conducted under the QS Stars Version 6.0 framework, the most rigorous iteration released in early 2024. Designed to measure university adaptability in a volatile global landscape, Version 6.0 introduced strict new prerequisites, making "Good Governance" a mandatory standard and incorporating sophisticated metrics for Learning Management Systems (LMS) and classroom technology.

Out of the nine standards evaluated, Thanh Do University secured 5-Star excellence in five critical areas: Teaching, Facilities, Employability, Good Governance, and Social Impact.

A Benchmark for Transparency and Governance

A standout achievement in this audit was the university’s performance in the Good Governance category, where it scored a perfect 100/100.

 Scoring maximum points across all sub-criteria—including financial transparency, risk management strategies, and integrity policies—the university demonstrated a robust operational framework. Notably, the staff satisfaction rate reached nearly 91%, significantly surpassing the standard’s requirements. This perfect score underscores Thanh Do University’s commitment to a transparent, accountable, and professional organizational culture, serving as a solid foundation for sustainable development.

Career-Ready Graduates

Amidst a competitive labor market, Thanh Do University proved its training relevance by securing 5 Stars in Employability (135/150 points). According to the QS report, the university holds a record-breaking 97.9% graduate employment rate. QS awarded maximum points for the university’s career support services and the active presence of employers on campus, highlighting the strong bond between the institution and the business community.

World-Class Teaching and Infrastructure

The university also secured 5 Stars for Teaching, driven by a student satisfaction rate of 84.5%. A healthy faculty-student ratio (7 faculty members per 100 students) ensures personalized interaction and academic support.

In terms of Facilities (5 Stars), Thanh Do University achieved maximum scores for classroom technology and sporting facilities. This includes specialized laboratories for Pharmacy, Automotive Engineering, IT, and Hospitality, alongside the Edupark Sports Center (opened in 2024), modern dormitories, and the Thado Care medical service.

Pharmacy: A Flagship Program

In the Program Strength category, the Bachelor of Pharmacy program was highlighted as a center of excellence. The program recorded an absolute 100% employment rate for graduates, validating its status as a leading supplier of high-quality healthcare personnel. Pharmacy students benefit from 15 specialized laboratories, a GPP-standard practice pharmacy, and a 1,000m² medicinal garden on campus.

A Growing Regional Footprint

In addition to the 5-Star categories, TDU was awarded 4 Stars for Academic Development and 3 Stars for both Global Engagement and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. The QS Stars 4-Star certification is valid through 2030.

This recognition marks a significant milestone in Thanh Do University’s 20-year history. It complements the university’s existing achievements, including National Education Quality Accreditation for six undergraduate and graduate programs. Furthermore, TDD continues to rise in regional rankings; as of November 2025, the university is ranked 44th in the AppliedHE ASEAN Private University Ranking 2026 and placed in the 171-190 band for the AppliedHE All-Asia Ranking 2026.
