On the morning of September 12, the K21 freshers of Thado University (TDD) attended an orientation meeting with the faculty of the Institute of Business and Science, the academic unit responsible for programs in technology and socio-economic disciplines.

The Institute of Business and Science (IBS) organized this direct meet-and-greet session with the K21 cohort to provide newcomers with a comprehensive overview of the university, a deeper insight into their respective academic unit, a detailed understanding of the curriculum, study pathways, learning environment, internship opportunities, and future career prospects. The event also aimed to introduce effective study and research strategies at the undergraduate level, inspire and motivate students, and strengthen connections between faculty and students, as well as among the freshers themselves.

The meeting gathered leadership, academic staff from the Institute, current students, and all new students. Attendees were provided with specific information about their programs, including the curriculum, annual study plans, practical and internship opportunities, potential career paths, essential qualities for success in their fields, and learning and research methodologies, helping them quickly adapt to the new academic environment.

The meeting also served as an opportunity for university leaders and faculty to listen to students’ concerns, understand challenges faced by freshers and their families, and provide transparent guidance. Through these exchanges, the new Thadoers gained detailed insights into upcoming programs and activities, reaffirming the university’s commitment to supporting every student’s academic and personal development.

The Institute of Business and Science, a core academic unit of Thado University, was established by transforming a Faculty into an Institute model. This structure maximizes autonomy and flexibility in managing education, scientific research, technology transfer, and international collaboration, aligning with the development trends of modern universities.

The Institute integrates multiple disciplines, including technology and engineering, economics and management, language and law, and educational sciences. It gathers experienced lecturers, experts, and researchers, fostering a dynamic academic environment that closely connects learning, research, and practical application.
