Automotive Engineering Technology is a major specializing in the fields of automobiles and power machines such as: design calculation; Manufacturing and assembly; Exploitation and use; Vehicle and technical management; Repair and maintenance and other technical services such as: Vehicle inspection, spare parts and vehicle trading, improvement and enhancement of efficiency of automobiles, power machines, etc. This is a major that integrates many areas of knowledge such as: Mechanics, electrical – electronic technology, automation technology, materials technology, information technology, etc. Therefore, after graduation, students can work in many different job positions.
Thanh Do University offers admission through four methods:
Admission based on high school academic performance
Admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam
Admission based on the results of competency and aptitude assessments
Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET)
On July 14, 2014, the Prime Minister approved Decision No. 1168/QD-TTg on “Development strategy of Vietnam’s automobile industry to 2025 and vision to 2035” and affirmed:
– The automobile industry is an important driving force promoting the cause of industrialization and modernization, and should be encouraged to develop by stable, consistent and long-term policies.
– To develop the automobile industry on the basis of bringing into full play the potential of enterprises of all economic sectors in order to meet step by step the domestic demand and the security and defense needs of the country.
– By 2035: The auto industry ensures its overall socio-economic efficiency as well as environmental requirements and trends in economical use of energy, meets domestic demand and participates in world automobile production and manufacturing chain, with great export value.
Thus, the role of the Automotive Engineering Technology industry is considered as a key industry in training high-quality human resources for the society, suitable and highly responsive to the cause of industrialization and modernization that the Party and The state is determined to implement.
