The workshop “Career Development Orientation in the Era of Globalization” was held with the participation of representatives from the Taiwan Trade Association Bac Ninh Chapter, YK Group, Cat Lam International Study Abroad Consulting and Services Co Ltd, together with students from Thanh Do University across multiple disciplines under the Institute of Business and Science.

During the program, speakers shared practical insights into global labor market trends and international career opportunities for Vietnamese students in the context of global integration.

Opening the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thi Ai Thi, Vice President of Thanh Do University, emphasized the university’s orientation toward building an internationally standardized learning environment through a sustainable connection model between the University and Its Students. She also highlighted solutions to strengthen students’ professional skills through practical projects and real-world experiences, while outlining key competencies students need to prepare for entering the global labor market.

A highlight of the program was the participation of Mr. Chau Thanh Nguyen, Secretary General of the Taiwan Trade Association, Bac Ninh Chapter, who shared valuable information on Vietnam’s international cooperation potential, workforce demand, and working environments in foreign-invested enterprises. Through an overview of the Association’s activities and Taiwanese investment in Viet Nam, students gained updated perspectives on the scale of the labor market and human resource needs, especially in high technology sectors.

Representing enterprises, Ms Hoang Ngoc, Chief Executive Officer of YK Group, presented an overview of foreign direct investment flows into Viet Nam, pointing out both employment opportunities and challenges for graduates, particularly in high technology fields. She also emphasized YK Group’s role in connecting students with enterprises, supporting career orientation, guiding applications, and equipping students with interview skills for real working environments.

The final presentation by students of the Information Technology major offered a fresh perspective on career mindset and integration capacity in the Industry 4.0 era. The presentation stressed the importance of early career goal setting, proactive skill development, and the essential role of enterprises and universities in supporting student growth.

During the discussion session, students actively raised questions to guest speakers, creating an open dialogue between students, the university, and enterprises. These exchanges reflected students’ strong interest in global workforce demands and were directly connected to challenges within their current fields of study.

The workshop reaffirmed the university’s commitment to practical cooperation with enterprise partners, opening stronger opportunities for collaboration in training and recruitment. By addressing student concerns and providing clear guidance, the program enhanced students’ understanding of global career pathways and strengthened their confidence in pursuing effective career development in the future.
