After two weeks of preparation and relentless practice, the most talented performers took center stage, delivering explosive performances at the ThanhDo’s Got Talent 2024 Grand Finale—a vibrant artistic playground for gifted Thadoers.
The finale featured an esteemed panel of judges, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đào Thị Ái Thi – Vice Rector; Dr. Phạm Trọng Phước – Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology; Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Linh – Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy; MSc. Quách Công Giang – Secretary of the Youth Union; MSc. Bùi Đức Thịnh – Vice President of the Labor Union, Deputy Head of the Training Department; and MSc. Nguyễn Thị Bích – Youth Union Executive Committee Member, Lecturer at the Faculty of Tourism and Foreign Languages. With exceptional talent and fiery performances, the contestants truly set the stage ablaze, making this finale an unforgettable celebration of creativity and passion!
After several rounds of competition, 10 of the best performances out of 28 entries were selected to compete in the grand finale. The performances were meticulously prepared and thoughtfully crafted, conveying meaningful messages about family love, patriotism, life, and youth. The top 10 contestants delivered impressive breakthroughs in singing, stage techniques, and performance styles. Their confidence, charm, and youthful passion for the arts transformed the finale stage into a vibrant “ball” filled with a spectrum of unique musical expressions.
As one of the judges for the grand finale, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đào Thị Ái Thi shared: “Sometimes, when watching the students perform, I get so immersed in it as an audience member that I forget I’m in the position of a judge. All the performances were amazing, well-prepared, and had a strong narrative connection, with clear and impactful messages—truly impressive.”
🥇 Champion: Neàng Riếc Sa – Musical Drama: Grateful to Sister Võ Thị Sáu & Nam Quốc Sơn Hà
Amidst the cheers and enthusiastic applause from the audience were moments of deep reflection, with the heartfelt lyrics of Grateful to Sister Võ Thị Sáu and the heroic tone of Nam Quốc Sơn Hà. Accompanied by challenging individual techniques, the small but powerful performer from the Faculty of Tourism and Foreign Languages captivated both the judges and the entire audience. This performance not only recreated the nation’s history but also brought emotional moments that highlighted the indomitable and resilient spirit of the Vietnamese people, evoking national pride and patriotism. With its profound message and impressive preparation, especially the clever combination of singing, dancing, acting, and complex personal skills, Neàng Riếc Sa delivered a “mesmerizing” performance and became the Champion of Thanh Do’s Got Talent 2024.

🥈 1st Runner-up: Volunteer Club – Play “Storm”
With praise from the judges and audience since the preliminary round, the Volunteer Club was considered a “strong contender” for the finale. True to expectations, the group delivered a theatrical performance titled “Storm,” conveying a profound message about life.
One of the most powerful moments in “Storm” deeply touched the audience’s hearts with vivid and emotional depictions of Typhoon Yagi, which devastated Northern Vietnam in September. The perfect synchronization of music, visuals, character emotions, and the tight storyline created a complete performance that moved the audience to tears, reminding us of important life lessons and values.

🥈 2nd Runner-up: AC Team – Đào Chí Công and Bùi Thị Hải with Dance “Vietnamese Sound”
The flawless performance and seamless collaboration of Đào Chí Công and Bùi Thị Hải, set to the music of “Vietnamese Sound,” showcased contemporary dance with smooth techniques, blending beautifully with the lighting and emotional ambiance. Their performance won the hearts of the judges and earned them the shared 2nd runner-up position in the program.

The ThanhDo’s Got Talent 2024 competition, despite being launched less than a month ago, quickly attracted a large number of freshmen eager to participate. After the preliminary round on October 9, 2024, the organizing committee selected the top 10 contestants to advance to the grand finale on October 22, 2024. Shortly after, the organizing committee also dedicated time to vote for the most popular performance from the preliminary round.

[Thành Đô Arts Club] Dance – Mashup
With the enthusiastic support of the audience, the Mashup dance performance by the Thành Đô Arts Club set the stage on fire with energetic moves, seamlessly transitioning from contemporary dance to hip-hop, and showcasing impressive hand formations. The performance radiated confidence, brilliance, and inspiration, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.

[Tourism K20] – Dance “Corn Season”
With careful attention to detail from costumes to the performance on stage, the Tourism and Foreign Languages students recreated the traditional dance “Corn Season” with synchronized techniques and coordination, kicking off the grand finale of Thanh Do’s Got Talent.
[Phương Anh] Singing “Điệu ví dặm là em”
With the folk-inspired melody of the song “Điệu ví dặm và em”, Phương Anh, a student from the Faculty of Pharmacy, maintained her performance from the preliminary round. She selected a perfect song to showcase her sweet, powerful voice in her performance.

[Bùi Hữu Hiếu] Beatbox
Setting the stage on fire with a Beatbox performance full of talent, Bùi Hữu Hiếu, a male student from the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, was the only contestant to use Beatbox to impress the audience and the judges at Thanh Do’s Got Talent 2024.

[Trần Mạnh Toàn] with the song “Đường lên phía trước”
His powerful, heroic voice took the audience back to difficult yet triumphant times. “Đường lên phía trước”, sung by Trần Mạnh Toàn, a student from the Faculty of Economics and Law, perfectly captured the spirit of Vietnam’s national pride and the strength of its people.

[Nguyễn Duy Trường] with the medley “Đường đêm”
Nguyễn Duy Trường’s voice, which won over the audience in the preliminary round, brought a different style in the final, with the “Đường đêm” medley. This performance not only showcased his vocal talent but also his skill in playing musical instruments, impressing both the judges and the audience.
