On the morning of August 29, Chinese Language students from Thanh Do University visited Foxconn Industrial Internet for a corporate field trip.
Accompanying the students were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thi Ai Thi – Deputy Head in charge of the University, Dr. Ngo Thi Anh Tuyet – Director of the International Training Center, along with lecturers responsible for the Chinese Language program.

During the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thi Ai Thi – Deputy Head in charge of Thanh Do University shared:

Today’s visit to Foxconn clearly demonstrates this philosophy. Experiencing a Modern Workplace at Foxconn
During the visit, students directly explored human resource management models, high-tech production lines, and operational activities within a multinational corporation. The international environment at Foxconn allowed Chinese Language students to clearly envision how foreign languages are used in communication, management, and global business.
Thadoers not only observed the closed-loop work processes but also listened to human resource managers discuss recruitment requirements, language proficiency, and soft skills that are highly valued by enterprises today. This provided a valuable opportunity for students to connect the theory learned in classrooms with real-world labor market demands.
Linking Training with Career Practice
The visit was particularly meaningful as it aligned with the applied learning orientation of the Chinese Language program at Thanh Do University. Currently, the university offers two specializations: Technology Chinese and Business Chinese. With this approach, students are trained not only in language skills but also equipped with knowledge and competencies in economics, commerce, and modern technology—fields with high demand for skilled professionals.
At Foxconn, practical experiences clearly illustrated the value of study aligned with specialization. Technology Chinese students had the opportunity to engage with Industry 4.0 production environments, where language is used in line management, technical oversight, and technology exchange. Meanwhile, Business Chinese students observed human resource operations, international negotiation, and collaboration, thereby enhancing communication and negotiation skills in multinational corporate settings.
Career Opportunities and Skills Development
During the meeting, Foxconn representatives shared information about the demand for professionals proficient in both Chinese and English in management, production coordination, and international relations roles. This opens diverse career prospects for Chinese Language students and helps them better plan their career paths after graduation.

In addition, the company emphasized the importance of developing a global mindset, teamwork skills, and adaptability in Industry 4.0 environments. These are key “plus points” that allow students to confidently integrate and compete in a globalized labor market.
