THANH DO UNIVERSITY AND HANOI CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL SIGN AGREEMENT TO ENHANCE PRACTICAL TRAINING FOR HEALTH SECTOR STUDENTS

On the morning of May 13, Thanh Do University and Hanoi Children’s Hospital discussed and signed a preliminary contract on practical training, marking a significant step in improving the quality of practical training for students in the university’s health sector.

The signing ceremony reflects Thanh Do University’s ongoing efforts to expand cooperation with organizations and businesses, aiming to create a rich and high-quality practical learning environment for students. Hanoi Children’s Hospital, one of the city’s leading medical facilities with 24 departments, including 8 functional and 16 clinical departments, along with a team of skilled doctors and experts, will provide an ideal setting for Thanh Do University students to enhance their professional skills and better prepare for careers in healthcare.

The ceremony was attended by leaders and representatives from both institutions. Dr. Ngo Quang Hung, Director of Hanoi Children’s Hospital, was present, along with experts such as Dr. Ninh Quoc Dat, Head of the Respiratory Department, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Hanh, Head of the TCCB Department, and MSc. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Head of the Nursing Department. Thanh Do University was represented by Dr. Nguyen Thuy Van, Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Linh, Acting Director of the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy; MSc. Postgraduate Student Bui Duc Thinh, Head of the Training Department; and Dr. Vu Quoc Manh, Lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

During the session, Dr. Ngo Quang Hung expressed hope for detailed and in-depth discussions between the two sides, aiming to reach a consensus on key areas for comprehensive cooperation. He emphasized the hospital’s qualified staff, who are experienced in teaching and guiding scientific research, and the hospital’s readiness to support the university’s training programs.

On behalf of Thanh Do University, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Van thanked the hospital for the warm welcome and expressed appreciation for the cooperation. She emphasized the university’s ongoing development of the health sector, including undergraduate programs in Pharmacy, the proposal for a Nursing major, and the Master’s program in Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy. She reaffirmed that the university’s development strategy prioritizes training quality, especially in providing students access to practical working environments.

Dr. Nguyen Thuy Van, Vice Principal of Thanh Do University, emphasized the school’s strategy in training health professionals.

Following extensive discussions, both parties agreed to sign a “Principal Contract on Practical Training,” with the following key components:

  • For: College, university, and postgraduate students majoring in Pharmacy and Nursing at Thanh Do University, participating in annual internship programs in their respective fields.
  • Practical Instructors: Qualified staff and lecturers from both the hospital and the university, ensuring training quality with professional qualifications.
  • Professional Content: Students will gain hands-on experience in a hospital environment, following a structured training program under the guidance of medical experts and specialized doctors, particularly in clinical teaching.
