A significant milestone in international collaboration was reached with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Thanh Do University and Guangxi University for Nationalities (China). This agreement marks an important step in expanding international cooperation in higher education and creates opportunities for student exchange programs, including a Summer Camp in June.
The visit by a delegation from Thanh Do University to Guangxi University for Nationalities underscores the commitment of both institutions to strengthen academic ties and broaden opportunities for students. During the trip, the MOU was signed, formalizing their cooperation in student exchange programs and international training initiatives.
The delegation from Thanh Do University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thi Ai Thi, Vice Principal, was joined by Dr. Ngo Thi Anh Tuyet, Director of the International Training Center, and MSc. Pham Thi Thu Huong, Lecturer in Chinese Language. The visit was met with a warm reception from the leadership of Guangxi University for Nationalities, who expressed their commitment to fostering a lasting and mutually beneficial partnership.
Notable representatives from Guangxi University for Nationalities included Ms. Vi Si Tran, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal; Ms. Chu Diem Tien, Director of the Institute of International Cooperation and Exchange; Mr. Truong Ngoc Trinh, Deputy Director of the Institute; Ms. Mau Vinh Hong, Deputy Director of International Education; and Ms. Thach Nhac, Head of the Admissions Department.
The signing of the MOU highlights the universities’ shared dedication to enhancing global education opportunities for students and the development of international training programs.
During the meeting, Ms. Vi Si Tran warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and provided an overview of the historical development of Guangxi University for Nationalities. She highlighted that both universities share common goals in building academic disciplines and advancing scientific research. Ms. Tran emphasized that Guangxi’s geographical and economic advantages would play a pivotal role in strengthening cooperation with Thanh Do University, particularly in the field of languages, to jointly train human resources and drive regional development.
Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thi Ai Thi, Vice President of Thanh Do University, underscored the university’s vision for internationalization as part of its strategic development. She expressed that this visit marked the beginning of training cooperation with Chinese universities, with hopes that the collaboration would lead to multi-disciplinary and multi-level cooperation, resource sharing, and mutual promotion of both institutions’ educational careers.
In the spirit of open and practical cooperation, both sides engaged in detailed discussions on joint training projects and agreed to launch an international student exchange program. This initiative promises numerous learning and cultural experiences for students from both universities. The cooperation agreement covers several areas, including:
Undergraduate and postgraduate joint training programs (2+2, 3+1 formats)
A special emphasis was placed on the summer camp program, where Chinese language students from Thanh Do University will travel to Guangxi University for Nationalities at the end of June. The agreement ensures that students will have access to comprehensive study, accommodation, and safety arrangements throughout their exchange experience.
