On the afternoon of June 5, Thanh Do University, in collaboration with Cat Lam International Study Consultancy Co., Ltd., successfully organized a special exchange program titled “Equipping Youth for the New Era.” The event offered a meaningful space for students to broaden their thinking and explore career directions in a globalized world.
The program featured Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thi Ai Thi – Vice President of Thanh Do University, Dr. Ngo Thi Anh Tuyet – Director of the International Training Center, Ms. Cathrine Chi – representative of Cat Lam International Study Consultancy (a strategic partner of the university), and students of the Chinese Language Department.
In the first session, Ms. Cathrine Chi spoke on the topic “Global Readiness: What Vietnamese Youth Should Prepare Today,” emphasizing that in an increasingly interconnected world, young people must go beyond academic knowledge. They need global thinking, language proficiency, cultural adaptability, and key soft skills such as critical thinking, intercultural communication, independent problem-solving, and above all—the courage to explore and embrace change.
Ms. Cathrine Chi, representative of Cat Lam International Study Consultancy Co., Ltd., emphasized the importance of equipping students with essential skills for the digital age.
In the second session, Ms. Nguyen Hoai Thu shared insights on “Opportunities, Challenges, and Global Integration in the Tourism–Hospitality Industry.” She highlighted this as one of the fastest-recovering sectors post-pandemic, with high demand for skilled, multilingual, and culturally aware professionals. She also stressed the importance of dual-degree programs, international certifications, and practice-oriented training models approaches Thanh Do University is actively implementing.
The bilingual Vietnamese–Chinese format gave Chinese Language students a chance to enhance both their language proficiency and real-world understanding of industry trends, strengthening their international readiness from the classroom.
More than just an exchange, the event served as a source of motivation, encouraging students to plan confidently for their careers, develop their potential, and prepare to thrive in the global job market.
