Students from Thanh Do University’s Hospitality Management and Vietnamese Studies (Tourism Guidance) programs recently took part in a practical field trip to the InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72. This collaboration helps students connect academic knowledge with industry standards.

Being the highest building in Hanoi, with over 346 meters, InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 offers 359 luxury rooms, five innovative restaurants and bars, extensive event facilities, and the largest Club InterContinental Lounge in Southeast Asia.

During the visit, students were introduced to various areas of the hotel, including Classic and Suite rooms, conference halls, and luxury meeting spaces named after major Vietnamese cities. They also explored the hotel’s dining options on the 62nd floor, from afternoon tea at The Hive Lounge, to international cuisines at 3 Spoons, premium dry-aged beef at Stellar Steakhouse, authentic Japanese grilling at Stellar Teppanyaki, and high-end cocktails at Q-Bar.

At the top floor’s Club InterContinental, students were impressed by the exclusive VIP guest facilities and breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city, truly a “million-dollar” working environment.

The field trip not only allowed students to observe the luxury hotel’s modern, open workspace and high-standard services but also helped them understand the flow of operations, from front office to back office. With a professional and proactive attitude, students attentively took notes, asked insightful questions, and engaged with hotel staff and managers to deepen their understanding.

As part of the learning process, students will prepare a report based on the trip, gathering details and insights to solidify their learning and reflect on potential career paths. These practical experiences inspire students, expand their industry knowledge, and ignitea a passion for working in hospitality and tourism.
