INTERNATIONAL PUBLISHING IN FOCUS: REK AT NUAE ACADEMIC SEMINAR

On May 28, Dr. Pham Hung Hiep – Director of the Institute of Research on Education and Knowledge Transfer (REK Institute) – participated as a guest speaker at the academic seminar titled “Experiences in International Publication in Educational Sciences and Arts and Culture”, held at the National University of Arts Education (NUAE).

The event, co-organized by NUAE, attracted scholars, researchers, lecturers, and postgraduate students from within and beyond the university. It aimed to share experiences and discuss strategies for improving the quality of international publications, particularly in the highly interdisciplinary fields of educational sciences and arts and culture. These areas require a strong connection between theory and practice, as well as sensitivity to global issues and international academic standards.

In his presentation, Dr. Pham offered valuable and practical insights into the process of publishing in international journals. He emphasized the importance of a strong theoretical foundation, combined with interdisciplinary research methods, as key to successful international publication.

Dr. Pham also addressed common challenges faced by Vietnamese researchers, such as language barriers, cultural differences in research approaches, and the rigorous standards of international journals. He proposed several practical solutions, including improving academic writing in English, participating in research methodology training, and building collaborative networks with international scholars.
