THANH DO UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES ORGANIZATIONAL RESTRUCTURING AND LEADERSHIP APPOINTMENTS FOR THE 2025–2030 TERM

09/06/2025

On June 9, 2025, Thanh Do University held a ceremony to announce key decisions regarding its restructured organizational model and leadership appointments for the 2025–2030 term. This marks a strategic milestone in the university’s transformation toward becoming a modern, flexible, high-quality, and globally integrated institution.

The comprehensive restructuring aims to enhance the quality of training, research, and community engagement. By streamlining operations and increasing autonomy for academic units, the university seeks to better meet labor market demands and align with global education trends.

Previously organized under a traditional faculty model, including faculties such as Pharmacy, IT, Automotive Engineering, Electrical – Electronic Engineering, Economics – Law, Tourism – Languages, and Basic Sciences, the university has now transitioned to a new structure based on specialized institutes. These include:

  • Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy, evolving from the former Faculty of Pharmacy, with expanded programs in Nursing and other health sciences. The Institute aims to build a comprehensive healthcare education ecosystem.
  • Institute of Business and Science: formed from the merger of various former faculties, covering fields such as management, technology, engineering, economics, law, and innovation. The Institute focuses on practical, application-oriented training closely linked with businesses and digital transformation.

Under this new model, institutes operate with greater independence in curriculum design, scientific research, and international collaboration. They can flexibly adjust programs to reflect market needs and technological advancements, helping to modernize education and strengthen global integration.

This organizational shift also supports Thanh Do University’s recent approval to offer a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, according to Decision No. 1531/QĐ-BGDĐT dated June 4, 2025, affirming its commitment to high-quality healthcare workforce training.

In parallel, the GenNext Training and Skills Development Center has been launched to equip students with essential life and career skills, preparing them to become competent, confident global citizens.

Other administrative units, including the Office of Science and Technology, the Library Center, and the Academic Affairs Department, have also undergone restructuring to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency.

Key leadership roles for the 2025 – 2030 term have been appointed, with experienced and dedicated professionals expected to drive the university’s continued sustainable growth.

Founded in 2004, Thanh Do University is a nationally accredited, multi-disciplinary private institution and one of the leading private universities in northern Vietnam. With strengths in engineering – technology, economics – management, tourism – languages, law, and health sciences, the university maintains a strong focus on practical training, global integration, creative thinking, and entrepreneurship.

With its new organizational model, Thanh Do University continues to assert its pioneering role in educational innovation, accompanying students on their journey toward knowledge and global citizenship.
