Amidst the vast ocean of resumes, mastering the art of creating an appealing and impactful CV is an essential skill to impress employers. Recognizing this, Thanh Do University conducted a highly successful CV building skills program on May 24th, where a wealth of valuable knowledge was shared with students, equipping them to stand out and conquer potential employers
The program was attended by esteemed individuals such as Assoc. Prof. Dao Thi Ai Thi – Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Van – Vice Rector, along with officers, staff, and students from Thanh Do University. Notably, Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Head of the Skills Department at the Hanoi Youth Support and Employment Service Center, graced the event with his presence.
As the speaker, MSc. Le Anh Tuan shared a plethora of engaging anecdotes and insights pertaining to various aspects of CVs. These included the importance of a well-crafted CV, the essential components to include, and a detailed discussion on each section that should and should not be incorporated, particularly when one lacks extensive experience. Additionally, students were exposed to a highly practical perspective during the program, as the speaker delved into the nuances of reading behavior, application evaluation, and strategies to effectively highlight pertinent information on their CVs. The speaker also provided guidance on addressing frequently asked questions, tips for salary negotiation, specific job discussions, and a host of other captivating advice to help students attract attention and impress potential employers.
The Speaker’s captivating storytelling, coupled with an atmosphere of open exchange and intriguing content, elicited tremendous excitement and focus from the Thanh Do students. They fearlessly voiced their personal opinions, fostering a lively and vibrant ambiance throughout the event.
Mai Trong Thanh, a final year student from the Faculty of Automotive Technology and Engineering, enthusiastically shared their thoughts: “Being part of today’s program has brought me immense joy and excitement. The content shared by the speaker was not only captivating but also highly practical. I genuinely believe that after this session, I have acquired valuable skills to make my CV more impressive, especially as I am a final year student preparing to conquer potential employers in the near future.”
