In 2025, Thanh Do University continues to enroll students in the Chinese Language program, offering a comprehensive learning ecosystem that meets the high demand of the labor market.
Expanding Career Opportunities for Chinese-Proficient Graduates
According to the Foreign Investment Agency (Ministry of Finance), China remains a major investor in Vietnam. By March 2025, Chinese investors had over 5,000 active projects, ranking 6th among 150 international partners, with investments spanning 19 out of 21 domestic economic sectors. The growing presence of Chinese companies in Vietnam creates thousands of high-paying job opportunities, particularly for translators and interpreters. Graduates proficient in Chinese can expect to work in diverse roles domestically and internationally, with average salaries ranging from 8 to 20 million VND per month, depending on experience and skills.
Immersed in Language and Local Culture
Thanh Do University’s Bachelor program in Chinese Language emphasizes cultural experience and practical communication. Leveraging its strong Tourism training programs, the university provides students with a specialized track in tourism language.
“Students studying Chinese at Thanh Do University gain a dual advantage: language proficiency plus specialized knowledge in tourism terminology, culture, and professional skills. With Chinese tourists representing a significant portion of visitors to Vietnam, this highly practical curriculum greatly enhances employability,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Thanh Thao, Rector of Thanh Do University.
A key advantage is the “enterprise semester” abroad, providing real-world experience in the native language environment. Thanh Do University has strategic partnerships with institutions such as Chung Ching University, Ming Chuan University (Taiwan, China), and Guangxi University of Nationalities (China), allowing students to participate in paid internships abroad. The university also collaborates with international businesses, including Letco Human Resources (Taiwan, China), enabling students to intern in hotels and restaurants.
Enriching Experiences Beyond the Classroom
To reinforce international exposure, in early July, Thanh Do University organized the 2025 Guangxi Summer Camp in China, combining language practice in a native environment with tourism experiences and international networking. The university also hosted a Chinese-language debate competition themed “Enduring Friendship – The Future from Students,” offering a platform for students to showcase language skills, critical thinking, and confidence on stage while promoting Vietnam-China youth connections.
“These opportunities allow students to not only study the language from textbooks but also live the culture, enhance communication skills, and gain hands-on experience in a native environment—preparing them to enter the global labor market with distinct competence,” added Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Thanh Thao.
From strong language foundations to international exposure and soft skills development, the Chinese Language program at Thanh Do University demonstrates the institution’s commitment to training high-quality graduates ready to seize the best opportunities in an era of global integration.
